SEN Teaching Assistant Location: Burnley Contract Type: Full-Time Salary: £13.75 - £14.50 per hour Start Date: As soon as possible Key Responsibilities: - Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils with a range of SEN needs (e.g., ASD, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, SEMH). - Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities. - Help implement individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour support strategies. - Foster a safe, positive, and engaging learning environment. - Monitor and record pupil progress, reporting to teachers and SENCO. - Support pupils with personal care needs if required. What We’re Looking For: - Experience working with children with SEN (school-based or other relevant settings). - A calm, patient, and resilient approach. - Excellent communication and teamwork skills. - A genuine passion for inclusive education. - Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 TA, SEN training) are desirable but not essential.
