We’re looking for a Retail Team Member to welcome visitors to the National Trust shop at Birling Gap, to answer their questions and help them make the most of their day. Salary: £12.75 hourly Contract/duration: This is a 6 month fixed term contract. This is a zero hour contract, meaning we can't guarantee a set number of hours each week. While we aim to provide a consistent work pattern, flexibility is needed as schedules may change based on business needs. We'll try to give as much notice as possible. The role includes weekends and Bank Holidays but does not require evenings or split shifts. Hours/working pattern Usually two days a week, 7.5 hours each day, ideally one weekend and one weekday, though this can be flexible. For this role, you’ll need to complete our online assessment instead of using a C.V. or online application form. What it's like to work here To find out more about what it’s like to work within “Retail” at the National Trust, What you'll be doing As a member of the retail team, you’ll be offering visitors help and advice with their shopping. You’ll have high standards of presentation in the shop while providing excellent service to all customers. You’ll also be able to talk to them about how everything they buy helps to fund the work of the National Trust. Other duties may include arranging, receiving and unpacking deliveries, creating shop displays and working with others in the team to keep the shop floor clean and organised.
