Position: SEMH Secondary Teaching/Support Staff
Location: Tower Hamlets
Pay: £92.50 to £115 per day
Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30 - 16:30

We are seeking dedicated, resilient and compassionate professionals to join our specialist SEMH secondary school.
SEMH describes children and young people who struggle to manage their emotions, mental well-being, and social interactions.
About the Role
You will be working closely with students who require additional support to access learning, regulate emotions, and thrive within a nurturing environment.
This role is ideal for individuals with strong behaviour‑management skills and a commitment to inclusive education.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build trust with students and collaborate with staff and parents.
Empathy and patience to understand and respond to complex emotional and behavioral needs.
Key Responsibilities
Support students with SEMH needs in both classroom and pastoral settings
Build positive, trusting relationships to encourage engagement and progress
Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists and senior leaders
Assist with behaviour strategies and personalised learning plans
Maintain a safe, structured and supportive learning environment
Requirements
These young people come from all walks of life, diverse backgrounds and with different needs - we require people who can engage, encourage and inspire these young people to be themselves. You'll be more than a Teaching Assistant, you'll be able to connect with these pupils because of:

Ideally you'll have experience working in a classroom, but if not, we can provide you will all the relevant training
Your genuine passion for supporting children to learn and the impact it can have on their lives
Your enthusiasm and expertise to support the teacher

Good attendance and punctuality
Have a valid DBS
