Job Opportunity: HR Consultant

Location: Office Based Swindon (with occasional travel to client sites)
Reports to: Managing Director
Salary: Competitive, based on experience
Holiday: 33 Days inc. BH

Role Overview

As an HR Consultant, you will be instrumental in providing expert quality HR advice and support to our clients. This role requires a proactive, conscientious professional who can juggle multiple responsibilities and deliver exceptional service to our clients.


Key Responsibilities

HR Service Delivery:
- Assist clients on-site with redundancy programs, employee relations issues, and TUPE matters.
- Support the HR Advice Line, ensuring accurate and timely advice.
- Provide expert HR guidance on employee relations over telephone and email.
- Chair or support formal meetings for clients.
- Deliver HR training and update client policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with company governance.
- Support client recruitment efforts and provide detailed reports.

Business Relations and Development:
- Conduct regular client review meetings and identify new business opportunities.
- Support new client onboarding.

Team Management:
- Mentor Trainee HR Advisors and HR Advisors.
- Ensure legal compliance and high standards in all advice provided.
- Serve as a point of contact for team questions.


Candidate Requirements

* Qualifications: CIPD qualified, graduate calibre
* Experience: Supervision experience, handling complex HR issues, strong UK employment law knowledge, and experience across various business sectors
* Skills: Proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to prioritise effectively

* Customer Focus: Understand and meet the commercial needs of clients, maintaining strong relationships
* Communication: Present information accurately and clearly, both verbally and in writing.
* Attention to Detail: Ensure all work is thorough and accurate.
* Prioritising: Manage tasks effectively to meet deadlines.
* Professionalism: Self-motivated, organised, and proactive in solving problems.
