As an Usher/Admin Assistant, you will play a vital role in court proceedings, acting as a key link between court users and the judiciary. Your responsibilities include providing excellent administrative support and customer service.

Your Role
You will perform usher and administrative duties as needed, serving as the first point of contact for court users, including vulnerable witnesses and legal representatives. Your tasks include preparing court rooms, completing documentation, ensuring smooth court operations, and supporting administrative work. You will work within a team, managing your own time with regular support.
Your Skills and Experience
You should have a friendly, approachable manner, strong communication skills, and the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and organize. Comfort with IT and attention to detail are essential, along with the ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations.
Additional Details
This is a customer-facing, office-based role with standard hours of 37 hours per week. Flexible and part-time working options are available, with a minimum of 29 hours 36 minutes per week, including specific weekdays.

Travel and Interviews
Occasional travel to York may be required. Virtual or alternative interview arrangements are considered only in exceptional circumstances.
