Role Overview
The Planning Assistant, working within the planning team, will collate ongoing sales and inventory analysis to maximize opportunities and communicate with commercial teams to support the growth of the business.
This role provides valuable analytical support, helping to enhance transparency and communication regarding stock availability. The assistant will use a data-driven approach to influence informed, conscious, and safer decision-making by identifying and minimizing risks through effective information sharing.
Key Responsibilities
1. Providing administrative support to the merchandising department.
2. Collating and communicating new campaign sell-through data to sales teams.
3. Updating and reviewing delivery schedules and product availability across all distribution centers for new product launches and core lines.
4. Reviewing and updating allocation quantities based on sales plans.
5. Assisting in maintaining merchandise plans.
6. Reviewing style performance weekly and making stock and trading recommendations.
7. Managing merchandising administration systems to ensure product availability and delivery.
8. Providing analysis on slow-selling stock levels.
9. Understanding product performance across channels and how to influence it.
10. Supporting sales teams with product availability information.
11. Sharing data on Out of Stocks and Overstocks across territories and channels at the product level.
12. Analyzing sales data and trends, and preparing regular reports on key metrics.
13. Creating analytics packs with commentary and presenting findings to the team.
