Key Responsibilities
You will oversee fire safety compliance across all buildings, including new facilities as they open and therefore, will have the opportunity to build and lead a team to support this expansion. As the organisation scales, you will guide future fire safety strategy decisions.
* Own fire safety compliance across all sites, including Fire Risk Assessments and remedial action management.
* Ensure inspection, testing, and maintenance of all fire protection systems in line with legislation and best practice.
* Act as the fire safety subject-matter expert, advising on incidents, audits, and regulatory requirements.
* Deliver fire safety training, fire drills, and promote a proactive fire safety culture.
* Develop and maintain fire safety documentation, records, policies, and emergency procedures.
* Provide fire safety input for new projects, refurbishments, and building modifications, and report compliance status to senior management.
Essential Requirements
* IFE Level 3 (or higher) qualification in fire safety or fire engineering.
* NEBOSH Fire Safety Certificate or equivalent.
* Strong track record in a fire safety role, preferably across multiple sites.
* Comprehensive knowledge of UK fire safety legislation and best practices.
* Strong experience conducting Fire Risk Assessments.
* Effective communication skills, with the ability to train and influence staff at all levels.
* Experience providing fire safety advice for construction projects, refurbishments, or building modifications.
