The Role
A leading engineering and construction company within the energy sector is seeking a Permit to Work Coordinator to join their HSE team on a high-profile Oil & Gas project. You will manage and monitor all Permit to Work systems on site, ensuring safe and compliant operations across internal teams and subcontractors. You will chair daily coordination meetings and support HSE compliance and environmental management.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver HSE inductions and training to ensure Life Saving Rules are implemented
* Conduct HSE inspections on internal teams and subcontractors
* Monitor the Permit to Work system and maintain compliance
* Maintain HSE procedures, reports, KPIs, and Job Safety Analyses
* Supervise environmental aspects and control hazardous materials
* Assist in accident investigations and propose corrective measures
* Communicate HSE standards, procedures, and bulletins across the site
Requirements
* 10–15 years’ experience in Permit to Work activities or similar within the Oil & Gas sector
* Strong knowledge of HSE procedures, safe systems of work, and operational risk assessments
* Proven experience supervising teams and coordinating complex project activities
* UK-based with full, permanent right to work (no sponsorship available)
