NOC 1st Line Engineer

The role includes shift work: day shifts being 6am to 6pm and night shifts being the reverse. You'll be working 4 days on, 4 days off. You'll need to live within commutable distance and have your own transport, owing to lack of public transport options out of hours. The role is entirely site-based.
NOC 1st Line Engineer - responsibilities
* Investigate and resolve customer incidents, keeping ticketing system fully updated
* Using suitable software (PRTG, SolarWinds, RMM, FMC etc) to monitor networks & equipment
* Acknowledge and deal with all network alarms and events, resolving or escalating as needed
* Providing smart hands services as needed: visual inspections, cabling etc, within the data centre
NOC 1st Line Engineer - requirements
* At least 12 months' experience in a NOC or Service Desk environment
* Experience working with Cisco networking equipment - ideally to CCNA level
* Excellent customer support and communication skills
* Firewall and/or Security Event management experience would be a plus
* Must be prepared and eligible to go through Security Clearance (this is essential)
