The RAC is the UK's leading breakdown service provider and a people-powered business of 4,000 'orange heroes' delivering best-in-class motoring services for private and business drivers. We have a fantastic opportunity for a skilled, field-based Roadside Mechanic to join our Roadside Patrol team.
Role
Roadside Mechanic – handle diverse breakdowns and technical issues with a focus on delivering an exceptional service to our members. Roadside support is at the heart of our business, with patrols out in the field dealing face-to-face with customers.
Responsibilities
* Diagnose and repair breakdowns and technical issues at the roadside.
* Provide high-quality customer service and technical support to RAC members.
* Utilise latest vehicle technology and work with the technical team for guidance as needed.
* Maintain safety and compliance while performing roadside repairs.
Qualifications
* A Level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification (or equivalent).
* Demonstrative technical, electrical, and diagnostic experience.
* A customer-focused approach.
* A full UK driving licence.

* Competitive base salary of £40,000 (Inclusive London Weighting if applicable) with an average OTE of £45,000–£55,000.
