HC-One is seeking a Maintenance Operative with solid experience in maintenance, building, DIY, cleaning, and housekeeping. The ideal candidate will possess technical knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems and preferably some IT skills. Communicative and considerate interaction with residents and co-workers is essential.
The role involves ensuring residents live in a proactively inspected and well-maintained environment. Responsibilities include conducting audits, maintaining records, and performing maintenance tasks such as replacing taps, fitting extractor fans, repairing windows, or decorating, always with kindness at the forefront.
Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility. Candidates must recognize signs of abuse, harm, or neglect and know how to respond. All colleagues will attend safeguarding training relevant to their role and undertake additional training as needed. The ability to seek advice and escalate concerns is required.
