About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our well-established team in Widnes. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to contribute to our site's maintenance, improvement, and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
* Performing preventative and reactive maintenance across the site.
* Undertaking repairs on various machinery, including hydraulics, pumps, gearboxes, and conveyors.
* Participating in Continuous Improvement projects.
* Carrying out fabrication and welding duties.
* Communicating effectively with multiple departments regarding maintenance issues.
* Adhere to strict health and safety guidelines.
* Complete duties outdoors, at height, and in confined spaces as required.
* Ensuring all maintenance reporting is accurate and complete.
Qualifications
* Time-served apprenticeship in mechanical engineering or a relevant mechanical engineering qualification.
Skills
* Fabrication and welding skills are desirable.
Person Specification
* Hardworking and self-driven.
* Confident in the ability to work independently.
Shift Pattern
Week 1: Monday - Friday, 06:00 - 14:00.
Week 2: Monday - Friday, 14:00 - 22:00.
