About the Role
As a vital member of the Site Leadership Team, you will:
* Champion Safety: Lead the charge in fostering a safe, compliant, and proactive work environment.
* Influence Culture: Help us build a robust safety culture through coaching, capability building, and engaging with colleagues.
* Implement Standards: Support the rollout of our Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies, embedding ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards.
* Manage Relationships: Oversee audits, manage relationships with regulatory bodies, and lead risk profiling and claims management.

Your Responsibilities
* Develop and Implement Procedures: Create and roll out site-wide HSE processes aligned with ISO standards, supporting teams to meet regulatory requirements.
* Build HSE Capabilities: Coach and mentor colleagues to promote safe behaviors and embed a proactive, prevention-first mindset.
* Track Performance: Monitor key HSE metrics, analyze trends, and present data to shape strategic plans and identify improvement opportunities.
* Manage HSE Budget: Identify risk reduction opportunities and oversee annual HSE capital spend to support long-term improvements.
* Act as a Visible Leader: Champion HSE initiatives, lead internal audits, and communicate effectively to shape the site’s safety culture.

What We’re Looking For
If you can bring the following, we’d love to hear from you:
* Recognised HSE Qualifications: NEBOSH Health and Safety Diploma (NVQ Level 6 equivalent) and IEMA Environmental Certificate are essential; IEMA Environmental Diploma is preferred.
* Experience in FMCG Manufacturing: Proven leadership experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
* Strong Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office, interpreting HSE data, and managing claims processes.
* Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to engage colleagues at all levels and coach others to improve safety behaviors.
* Flexible and Proactive Approach: Energized by change and comfortable working under pressure, with occasional travel required.
