The Role
As a Public Sector Business Development Manager, your core responsibility will be to win new business by targeting large public organisations and building relationships with senior stakeholders such as C-suite, HR Directors, Category Directors and Buyers. The role centres on promoting a consolidated supply model that simplifies procurement by offering multiple product categories through a single provider. This is a strategic new business role where the typical sales cycle length is 3 to 6 months selling 2 - 5 year contracts equating to hundreds of thousands of pounds. The Public Sector Business Development Manager owns their own diary and has free reign to prospect business across the country, when not meeting with clients face to face you will be working from home and will be part of a team of circa 9 other sales professionals.
Key Requirements:
* Minimum 3+ years' experience selling into the public sector
* Strong consultative sales skills
* Ability to self-generate leads and manage long sales cycles
* Willingness to travel nationally
The Package:
* £55,000 salary
* Uncapped commission - £30,000 achievable in first year
* £500/month car allowance
* 23 days holiday + birthday off + bank holidays
* Induction programme plus ongoing development and training
