An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Maintenance Specialist to join our Estates team reporting to our Site Estates Manager. As a Maintenance Specialist with Redcar and Cleveland College, you will be responsible for ensuring the college's buildings, classrooms, workshops, and grounds are safe, functional, and well-maintained. This role supports the delivery of high-quality education by providing responsive and proactive maintenance services across the campus.
The ideal candidate will be a skilled maintenance technician with strong general maintenance and electrical knowledge. They'll be detail-oriented, safety-focused, and quick to troubleshoot problems. We're looking for someone who is proactive with preventive maintenance, organised in managing tasks, and adaptable to different systems and technologies. Teamwork and clear communication are essential, but so is the ability to work independently. Most importantly, the right person will bring a strong work ethic, a commitment to safety, and the hands-on ability to keep our operations running smoothly.
