Purchasing Expeditor Our client, based just outside of Southampton, are looking to recruit an Purchasing Expeditor to join their busy and supportive Purchasing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a someone who is interested in a career within purchasing/buying, working for a company who is a leader in their field. They are looking for someone who is a strong co-ordinator, confident on the phone and has a good attention to detail. Previous experience within a purchasing or buying department is ideal but not essential. You will need previous office based work experience. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience working for a global business. The Role - Purchasing Expeditor This is a busy and involved position where you will gain experience in a wide range of purchasing activities. The role will include placing, progressing and chasing orders, managing vendor data including, prices, lead times and product ranges, forecasting and planning forward stock levels and assisting in the search for new products. This is a Hybrid role. The Ideal Candidate for Purchasing Expeditor This is a great opportunity for someone who really wants to take charge in a role and make it their own. In order to be considered for this role you will need to have previous office based work experience and be confident dealing with people at all levels. You must have a good eye for detail, be able to prioritise your work and be confident working to strict deadlines. Advanced communication skills and the ability to build relationships is important. You will need to be IT literate, in particular Excel and Word. Experience within buying is not essential as you will be fully trained.
