*Job Summary*

*Responsibilities*
* Conduct MOT tests on a wide range of vehicles, ensuring compliance with legal standards.
* Perform detailed inspections of vehicle components, including brakes, lights, steering, and emissions systems.
* Use hand tools and power tools effectively to carry out repairs or adjustments as necessary.
* Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and any issues identified during testing.
* Communicate findings clearly to vehicle owners and provide recommendations for necessary repairs.
* Ensure that the testing area is clean, organised, and safe for both staff and customers.
* Stay updated with changes in regulations and best practices related to vehicle testing.
*Requirements*
* Proven experience as an MOT Tester or in a similar role within the automotive industry.
* Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to diagnose issues effectively.
* Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently.
* Ability to perform heavy lifting as required during inspections and repairs.
* Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality in work.
* Strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
* A valid MOT testing licence is preferred.
