We are looking to recruit an experienced individual to join our established team. Reporting to our Area Manager, our Ground Worker’s provide ground works for the Group to a high and consistent standard. In addition, we are looking for candidates that have a passion to advocate on behalf of people and communities.
What do our Ground Workers do;
Carry out a wide range of groundworks and repairs, including excavation, laying and repairing paving, edgings, steps, ramps, foundations, macadam surfaces, brickwork, blockwork and stonework.
Maintain and repair external structures and drainage systems, including fencing, gates, underground drainage, CCTV surveys, jetting/rodding and identifying defects in paths, roads and walkways.
Undertake property maintenance tasks in domestic and commercial settings, ensuring safe operation of tools and machinery, routine equipment checks, accurate documentation, and high-quality workmanship.
Deliver excellent customer service, liaising professionally with clients, ensuring properties are left clean and safe, obtaining satisfaction signatures, and maintaining a tidy, identifiable appearance.
Work safely and compliantly, adhering to health & safety, PPE requirements, asbestos procedures, data protection, equal opportunities and organisational policies, procedures and service-level standards.
Support team operations, including supervising apprentices, planning workload, managing materials and vehicles, using business systems, communicating effectively, and participating in an out‑of‑hours call‑out rota.
What we are looking for;
City and Guilds Craft or minimum NVQ level 2 in an appropriate craft based trade or substantial relevant experience
Experience of working as part of a multidiscipline team
Experience of working collaboratively in a busy team environment.
Experience of delivering quality work on time
Managing and prioritising a demanding workload.
Customer focused and a desire to provide services to a high standard.
A full Uk driving license and willingness to travel across the North West
This is a hands-on role at the heart of the service that MSV delivers to our customers, so your effective communication skills and ability to understand with empathy the diverse needs of our customers will be key. You’ll be based in the communities we serve and will work under minimum supervision and as part of a team using a flexible approach.
