Description
We are seeking a motivated and curious Assistant Systems Developer to join our busy MIS team and play a key role in shaping how data and digital systems support teaching, learning, and student success.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to develop their skills in data systems, web development, and business intelligence within a forward-thinking college environment.
You’ll work closely with colleagues across the organisation to develop and maintain internal applications, improve data quality, and deliver insightful reporting that supports decision‑making and ensures compliance with funding requirements. From building web‑based tools to supporting our data warehouse and Power BI reporting, your work will have a real impact on the student experience.
Contract: Permanent, Full time (37 hrs p/w, 52 wks p/a)
Salary: Support Staff SCP 10, Range 10-12 (currently £27,733.00- £29,544.00) p/a

Key Responsibilities
* Support the development of the college’s data and systems infrastructure by integrating data from multiple systems, developing internal web applications, and contributing to a streamlined reporting environment.
* Assist in the development, programming, and maintenance of web‑based systems and data processes, ensuring high‑quality reporting, compliance with DfE/ESFA funding rules, and an excellent user experience across college applications.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
* Experience of developing web‑based systems
* Ability to communicate data findings clearly to non‑technical audiences
* Degree or equivalent in a computing/technical subject
* Ability to work in a way that promotes the safety and wellbeing of young people
