We’re looking for an experienced and caring Mental Health Recovery Worker to join our dedicated team at Sheffield Crisis House – a CQC Registered home supporting with severe and enduring mental health challenges. Sheffield Crisis House provides short-term, person‑centred support for adults (18) experiencing acute mental health crises. The service offers a safe, calm, and supportive environment where individuals can stabilise, reflect, and access tailored guidance to aid their recovery. Our 6‑bed residential setting includes shared spaces such as a kitchen, lounge, and garden, and is staffed 24/7 to ensure continuous emotional and practical support. Working in partnership with Sheffield Health and Social Care, we deliver integrated care that helps individuals develop or re‑establish coping strategies, daily routines, and personal safety. The focus of the service is to promote wellbeing, reduce distress, and support people in regaining a sense of stability and control during a crisis. What will you do? Help individuals rebuild confidence and independence Support service users in achieving personal goals Provide one-to-one guidance and work alongside mental health agencies Build respectful, honest relationships while maintaining professional boundaries What we’re looking for: Experience supporting people with mental illness or in a social care setting (paid or voluntary) Great listening skills, empathy, patience, and kindness Ability to work with digital systems (Microsoft applications, email, internet) A commitment to our values and willingness to learn If you have transferable skills and a passion for helping others, we’d love to hear from you!
