The role
Morson are recruiting for a Composite Process Support Worker to join a leading aerospace manufacturing site based in Cowes, Isle of Wight .
This is a hands-on, production support role within a fast-paced composites environment, where you will support manufacturing operations by carrying out essential tasks that enable efficient production flow.
You will work closely with Team Leaders, Operators and Inspectors, ensuring all activities are carried out safely, to quality standards, and in line with production schedules. You will also play a key part in identifying issues and supporting continuous improvement initiatives on the shop floor.
This is a strong opportunity to gain experience within a high-performance aerospace manufacturing environment , with training provided to develop skills and achieve certified operator status.
Key Responsibilities Perform basic manufacturing support tasks such as gripper repairs, degreasing, temporary part marking, and cutting shims
Prepare materials by cutting consumable kits to required sizes for production
Support more advanced processes (such as strip out and frekote) following training and certification
Operate simple machinery as required within the production process
Clean, maintain, and move tools and equipment, including use of laser cleaning equipment
Follow all standard operating procedures and work instructions
Report any safety, quality, or process issues to the Team Leader or Inspector
Support problem solving and continuous improvement activities (Kaizen)
Work to production schedules and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Comply with all health & safety, quality, and environmental standards
Requirements Previous experience within a manufacturing, production, or hands-on operational role
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately
Strong attention to detail and quality standards
Comfortable working in a structured, process-driven environment
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Good communication skills
Flexible approach to work and willingness to learn
Desirable Experience within aerospace, composites, or engineering environments
Knowledge of lean manufacturing or continuous improvement methods (e.g. Kaizen)
Experience operating machinery or working with production tools
Interest in aerospace manufacturing
About the Role This role sits within a production support team responsible for maintaining workflow across a composite manufacturing environment. The position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work safely in a hands-on setting.
Full training will be provided, with opportunities to gain certification and develop technical capability within the role. This is well suited to candidates from manufacturing, engineering, automotive, or similar hands-on backgrounds.
What's on Offer £13.43 per hour (Day Shift) / £16.79 per hour (Double Days)
Contract until November 2026 (with potential extension)
37 hour working week
Day shift initially, with potential move to double day rotation
