Overview
Activity Leader at Camp Williams, supporting the running of programme events for children and ensuring they are well looked after, engaged, supported and having fun.
Responsibilities
* Inspire young people to develop creativity, self-esteem and to value integrity, respect and collaboration with others.
* Divide children into age groups and plan age-appropriate activities for the day.
* Lead skills clinics for children aged 8–15 years every morning to help them learn a new hobby, practice a favourite sport or try something new.
* Coach, teach, lead or bring a personal hobby that kids will enjoy, creating a high-energy, fun and safe environment.
* Contribute to a camp day that runs from 7:30am to 6:00pm, Monday to Friday, with commitments for whole weeks to ensure consistency for the children.
* Support ongoing participation across school holidays and, where possible, return to work for subsequent holidays as a long-term member of the Camp team.
* Work at the YMCA Community and Activity Village, with sessions running during Nottinghamshire County Council school holidays.
Requirements
* Experience in coaching, teaching, leading, or pursuing a hobby that children will love.
* Must be over 18 years old.
* Subject to a satisfactory enhanced DBS check (paid for by YMCA) and registration with the DBS Update Service.
