Bellrock Group is currently seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join the MW Lifts Finance Team on a initial 6 month FTC. The Finance Manager will play a key role in ensuring that all financial reporting, month-end accounting, forecasting, and budgeting activities are completed accurately and on time. The role is responsible for managing the organisation’s financial operations, maintaining strong financial controls, producing accurate and insightful reporting, and supporting business decision-making through high-quality financial analysis.
Key responsibilities:
* Reconciling bank accounts
* Processing purchase and sales invoices accurately and in a timely manner Sales: Currently in Click, feeding into Xero. Purchases: Dext into Xero
* Maintaining financial records and filing systems
* Managing accounts payable (payment runs/queries/statement reconciliations) and accounts receivable (credit control, queries); working with internal stakeholders to resolve queries.
* Supporting payroll processes, providing monthly adjustments, checking returns from Bellrock to make sure correct
* Understanding of all internal systems to be able to resolve queries arising from reconciliations and analysis
* Delivering month-end procedures and reporting: WIP, Deferred Income
* Supporting Finance Integration Manager with moving from Xero onto group system (Access Suite: Dimensions, Focalpoint, Expense)
* Lead the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting
* Prepare monthly management accounts with clear variance analysis and commentary
* Assist with month end reporting, by ensuring all transactions are correctly recorded, and relevant journals processed
* Completion of balance sheet reconciliations
* Provide variance analysis against budgets, forecasts, and prior year
* Project accounting and cashflow
* Assist with monthly cash flow forecast
* Assist in budget process
* Assist with annual Audit requirements
* Should have a keen eye for detail and be able to work in a fast-paced environment
* Excellent verbal communication skills
* Must be able to work well with others and meet strict deadlines
* To ensure compliance to all relevant statutory duties under the Health and Safety at Work Act, details of which are listed within the Company’s Health and Safety Policy
* Reporting at group level: Cashflow, Aged Debt/Credit Control/Management accounts
* Supporting the business with ad-hoc finance and administrative tasks
* Any other reasonable duties which may be requested
Skills & experience:
* 5 years’ experience in a similar role
* Advanced Excel Skills
* Experience of period end processing
* Experience of budgeting / forecasting
* Ideally a working knowledge and understanding of the Construction Industry Scheme (CIS) and associated HMRC compliance requirements.
* Excellent organisational, administrative, written, and verbal communications skills.
* Experience of dealing with multiple stakeholders from administrators to CEO
* Excellent attention to detail and high levels of accuracy and integrity.
* Ability to prioritise own workloads appropriately
* Must be able to work independently
