Job Description
Aspire People are recruiting talented SEN Teaching Assistants for our schools across Thrapston and the surrounding areas, including primary, secondary, and SEN schools.
The work can range from a day's cover, to a term's cover, to a full academic year, depending on your availability. We ask that you are available for at least one day a week, from 8.30am to 3.30pm.
We are looking for compassionate and dedicated individuals who want to make a positive impact on the lives of young students.
Responsibilities
1. Assist teachers in delivering lessons and activities tailored to students' needs.
2. Support students individually or in small groups to understand and engage with the curriculum.
3. Help implement individualised learning plans.
4. Support classroom management to foster a positive and inclusive environment.
5. Provide pastoral care and emotional support to students.
6. Monitor and track student progress.
7. Communicate effectively with teachers, students, and parents as needed.
Requirements
* Relevant experience.
* A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their educational development.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work well within a team.
* Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
Having a Teaching Assistant qualification and prior experience in an educational setting is desirable but not essential.
