Job Description
The salary for this role is £27,202. Onsite working is expected for 3 days a week, however, we actively support requests for flexible working.
This role can be based at any of the following sites: Culham, Oxfordshire.
This role requires employees to complete an online Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS), including The Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) checks for criminal convictions and possibly a search of open source data.

As an Administrator for Business Development and Innovation Departments of UKAEA, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the day-to-day operations of these departments. This includes managing and tracking purchases, assisting with recruitment and induction processes, booking travel, managing diaries of the team members, managing visitor logistics, and ensuring the smooth operation of the division. Additionally, the role provides efficient and professional secretarial assistance to the members of the division and is a confidential primary point of contact for internal and external contacts and queries. By prioritising tasks effectively, this role is important for maintaining efficiency and supporting the division's growth goals.
Additional Responsibilities:
* Providing efficient and professional secretarial/administrative support to the Business Development Manager and members of the division.
* Organising calendars, events and travel arrangements for the division, taking minutes of various meetings on or off-site.
* Organising training courses, meetings, on and off-site visits, and a variety of other activities using the tools and systems provided.
* Making purchases for the division, including placing orders, checking authorisations and receipts against spend, tracking purchases and maintaining accurate records of transactions.
Qualifications
Essential Requirements:
* Grade 4 in GCSE English and Maths, or equivalent.
* NVQ Level 3 business administration qualification or equivalent experience
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team, attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
