East Linton Primary School is looking for a dedicated and creative Principal Teacher who also has teaching responsibility (currently for the P7 class). Knowledge of RWInc, MTV, Collaborative Learning, Play pedagogy and supporting additional needs would be beneficial. The PT will advise and support staff, collaborate with the school community, lead school improvements and work closely with the Head Teacher.

Responsibilities
* Perform duties as directed by the Head Teacher, accounting for curricular development and quality assurance.
* Contribute to the development of school policy in relation to pupil behaviour management.
* Manage and guide colleagues; review CPD needs, career development and performance of colleagues.
* Provide advice, support and guidance to colleagues.
* Lead pastoral care within the school and manage/p develop pastoral care staff.
* Implement whole school policies on guidance, pastoral care, assessment and pupil welfare.
* Work with colleagues, parents and other specialist agencies as appropriate.
* Collaborate with class teachers to share best practice and advance Improvement Plan priorities.
* Participate in overall school administration and assist in aspects of the School Improvement Plan.

Job Requirements / Qualifications
* Full GTCS Registration (General)
* Evidence of CPD
* PVG Membership (This post is a Regulated Role with vulnerable children and/or protected adults, as specified in the Disclosure (Scotland) Act 2020.)
* All preferred candidates for posts carrying out regulated work will be required to become a PVG Scheme member, or update if already a member, prior to any formal offer of employment.
