The role of Curriculum Assistant (Literacy) is a vital part of our commitment to raising achievement and supporting learners at Ysgol Dyffryn Taf. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a real difference by delivering targeted intervention programmes that help pupils build confidence and competence in Literacy. Working closely with the English Department and support staff, you will play a key role in creating a high-quality learning experience, fostering progress, and ensuring every student has the opportunity to reach their full potential. If you are passionate about education, skilled in motivating learners, and eager to contribute to a collaborative team environment, this role is for you.
Safeguarding Statement
Dyffryn Taf fully recognises the contribution it makes to Child Protection and was commended for its policies,support and interventions in a recent county-wide "Safeguarding Health Check". There are 3 main elements to the School's Policy:- 1. Education and Pastoral support is offered to pupils to enable them to keep themselves safe and prevent abuse. 2. Procedures are in place for identifying and reporting cases, or suspected cases, of abuse. Because of our day-to-day contact with children, school staff are well placed to observe the outward signs of abuse. 3. Supporting pupils who may have been abused. A door entry system has been put in place as part of the School's Safeguarding Procedures to keep the School a safe community. All visitors need to make their way to the Main Entrance of the School where they will be able to enter the building after speaking to Reception via the Intercom.
