About the role:

1. Lead on delivering high-quality, evidence-based outreach and early intervention across Sefton.
2. Work flexibly to meet the needs of young people and young adults, including evenings and occasional weekends, using creative and inclusive approaches to engage individuals who may benefit from early support.
3. Coordinate and deliver universal prevention and education offers, lead detached outreach in areas of concern, and develop peer-led support groups.
4. Collaborate with partners on borough-wide events and proactively generate referrals using local data.
5. Alongside holding a small caseload, you’ll advocate for young people and young adults, promote harm reduction, and contribute to safeguarding processes.
6. Be part of a dynamic team, contributing to service development and ensuring accurate data recording and reporting.
7. Work flexibly and holistically to meet the needs of young people, young adults and the service (includes working outside of core hours: evening and occasional weekends)
8. Lead detached outreach in areas of concern (. parks, beaches, town centres).
9. Deliver high-quality, evidence-based outreach activities throughout the Borough of Sefton.
10. Develop innovative engagement methods for hard-to-reach or marginalised groups.
11. Develop & deliver peer led support groups for young people & young adults affected by substances.
12. Collaborate with the Community Education Lead on projects, borough-wide workshops and community events (. festivals, freshers fairs, Pride).
13. Proactively generate referrals using data to target specific services and provisions.
14. Commit to safeguarding young people & young adults, adhering to local policies, and facilitating referrals where needed.
15. Participate meaningfully in team meetings, service development days, and supervision.
16. Advocate for and empower young people & young adults, promoting harm reduction principles.
17. Be responsible for a small caseload of young people & young adults and to adhere to all aspects of case management policy.
18. To work in a safe & risk informed way, ensuring personal safety as well as the safety of colleagues and young people/young adults is at the forefront of outreach delivery.
19. Ensure accurate and timely data recording, collection, and reporting.

About you:

20. Excellent engagement skills, a strong understanding of safeguarding, and a commitment to reducing harm and promoting resilience in young people.
21. Experience of working with young people in 121 and/or group
settings.
22. Experience of working in an outcomes-focussed environment.
23. Ability to forge strong working relationships with internal and external
partners.
24. Experience of and ability to achieve against key performance
indicators (KPIs) relevant to the role.
25. Ability to liaise and work in partnership with a wide range of
professionals and agencies including Children’s Services, schools,
primary care
26. The ability to accurately update and maintain records in a timely
fashion and to work to deadlines for the submission of information,
. reports
27. Ability to communicate confidently and effectively, verbally and in
writing
