What we’re looking for:
* Do you have a background working with vulnerable young people within either a social housing, education, or charity setting?
* Do you have experience of working with young people who have challenging behaviour where you can engage, be approachable and provide constructive support?
* Do you have up to date knowledge of safeguarding and trauma informed principles?
* Can you work under pressure and meet required deadlines?
* Are you confident writing reports and risk assessment and can use Information Technology such as MS Office (outlook, word, excel) and MS Teams?

A bit about the role:
As a Housing Support Worker, you will be working with a team of highly motivated, compassionate, and dedicated colleagues supporting a caseload of young customers. You’ll need to meet each customer weekly to help them with their goals and discuss their progress. And, when someone’s ready to move on, we'll rely on you to help them access the housing register or look for suitable rented accommodation.
Relevant experience would be an advantage, as would an understanding of safeguarding and knowledge of the benefit system. But just as important may well be skills and knowledge which you have in other areas which you can share like sport, music, games, gardening, or a love of film. All these things would make you a great addition to the team!
This role will require an Enhanced DBS check.
