Overview
An exciting opportunity to join the Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust as a Consultant Hepatologist in Cornwall. We are seeking an exceptional Consultant Hepatologist with a mature outlook and an interest in research to join a forward‑thinking team on the stunning Cornwall coast.
The Department of Gastroenterology & Hepatology is large, highly developed and innovative, with substantial investment over the past decade. Hepatology is delivered by 2 consultants and a Consultant Nurse, along with specialist nurses. A community-based Hepatitis C program in conjunction with hospital services was commended in the National Quality & Care awards (2014). An Alcohol Liaison Team supports brief interventions to prevent alcohol‑related admissions and is available on wards seven days a week. A seven‑day roaming paracentesis service is provided by interventional radiology nurses. The department supports end of life pathways and holds IQILS accreditation level 2.
We welcome candidates who want to innovate and contribute to teaching, service development and research.
