Salary: £34,500 - £35,000 per annum

Job Summary
Our client, a leading manufacturer based in Stockport, is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic CNC Machinist to join their production team, working specifically on Riello machines. This role offers a fantastic opportunity for an experienced machinist who takes pride in precision work and thrives in a fast-paced, team-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Operate CNC machinery (Riello) safely and efficiently
* Read and interpret complex engineering drawings and specifications
* Use precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges) to ensure dimensional accuracy
* Make CNC program adjustments to maintain production and quality standards
* Carry out routine machine maintenance and promptly report any issues
* Work collaboratively to achieve production targets and deadlines
* Support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing practices
* Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work area
CNC Machinist Safety Responsibilities
* Follow all site-specific health and safety policies and procedures
* Wear PPE at all times and encourage safe practices among colleagues
* Report unsafe conditions, near misses, or incidents immediately
* Check machine guarding and emergency stops before operation
* Participate in safety briefings, toolbox talks, and training sessions
* Promote a strong “safety-first” culture
CNC Machinist Requirements
* Proven experience as a CNC Machinist in a manufacturing environment
* Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation
* Skilled with precision measuring instruments
* Experience with CNC program editing and troubleshooting
* High attention to detail and commitment to quality
* Enthusiastic, reliable, and a strong team player
* Flexible and open to learning new technologies and processes
