The Role
We’re looking for a driven Area Sales Manager (ASM) to deliver profitable growth across 10 depots.
You’ll:
* Grow existing customer accounts
* Win new business
* Support branch teams to achieve sales & margin targets
* Build strong relationships with customers and suppliers
You’ll also manage your own customer ledger, driving revenue, protecting margin, and increasing market share.
What You’ll Be Doing
Sales & Business Development
* Deliver sales and margin targets
* Build and manage customer accounts through regular visits
* Identify and secure new business opportunities
* Cross-sell products and promote group services
* Monitor competitor activity and market trends
Branch Collaboration
* Work closely with Branch & Area Managers
* Align sales strategies with branch targets
* Share pipeline activity and market insight
* Support branches in converting opportunities
* Conduct joint supplier/customer visits
* Promote product initiatives
* Stay up to date on product ranges and trends
Planning & Performance
* Maintain structured call planning
* Keep CRM/pipeline accurate and updated
Credit Management
* Ensure customers operate within credit limits
* Work with Credit Control to manage risk
* Resolve account queries efficiently
What We’re Looking For
Experience
* Proven track record of sales growth
* Field sales or account management experience
* Strong commercial awareness (pricing & margin)
* Experience winning new business
* Industry knowledge preferred
