An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and friendly administration clerk to join our Community Midwife Administration Team. Bradford maternity service is a busy and dynamic service that supports the women of Bradford through the journey of pregnancy and birth. We are a busy and acute division with many challenges, and we need the support of our multidisciplinary workforce to enable a high standard of care to be provided. This post is based at St Luke's Hospital in Bradford and requires the successful applicant to be able to work 5 days a week (Monday to Friday) 08.00 - 16.00
The successful applicant will have:
Good administration experience, NHS experience is desirable but not essential as training will be given
Ability to prioritise the demands of a busy environment
Work autonomously, and be able to prioritise and work well within a team
Be able to communicate effectively with members of the public over the phone.

The job holder will provide administrative and clerical support across the service
The job holder will deal with any administrative tasks required by the team accurately in a polite and courteous manner
The job holder will contribute to the development of efficient and lean processes to ensure an efficient service

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
To assist with workload providing administrative support including filing, photocopying, mail management
To effectively communicate with patients and staff
To input clinical/administrative data such as referrals and appointments
To maintain efficient office systems
To effectively and efficiently administer and maintain all relevant IT systems
Person specification
Experience
* Working experience/knowledge of computers & data input
* Previous clerical experience in an administrative setting
* Experience of working face to face and/or telephone contact with the general public
* Experience in use of computer programs such as EPR, Microsoft office, Excel, IPROC
Skills
* Keyboard Skills/use of email
* Good telephone manner and communication skills
* Ability to work as part of a team
* Ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
Knowledge
* Understanding of Information Governance and Confidentiality
* Previous knowledge of NHS Admin/medical records experience
Qualifications
* Educated to GCSE standard or equivalent
* NVQ level 2 administration or above
