Office Manager – Structural Engineering Consultancy

Salary: £26,000 – £30,000 per annum

We are working with a fast-growing structural engineering consultancy that is entering an exciting phase of expansion and is now seeking an Office Manager to play a key role in supporting the business as it scales.
This is a pivotal hire. Our client is looking for someone who will thrive in a lively, energetic and professional environment, bringing strong communication skills, organisation and initiative. Previous office management experience is not essential, as full training will be provided – attitude, proactivity and professionalism are the priority.
The Role
As Office Manager, you will act as the central point of coordination for the business, supporting both operational and commercial activity. This is a varied and hands-on role, ideal for someone who enjoys responsibility and being involved in the wider success of a company.
Key responsibilities will include:

Handling incoming enquiries and acting as first point of contact

Proactively following up and responding to new enquiries
*
General administrative and Excel-based work
*
Invoicing and transaction reconciliation using Xero
*
Chasing outstanding invoices
*
General office management and PA-style support
*
Assisting with business development activity, recruitment and advertising
*
Supporting senior leadership with day-to-day business operations
About You

Comfortable speaking with clients and external stakeholders

Confident using Microsoft Excel and general office systems

Willing to learn new systems (including Xero)
