About the Role: We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Health Care Assistant to join our team at a residential care home supporting adults with learning disabilities. This is a rewarding role where you’ll make a real difference to the lives of our residents by providing high-quality, person-centred care. Key Responsibilities: Deliver personal care in a respectful and dignified manner, in line with individual care plans Support residents with daily living tasks, including washing, dressing, toileting, and mobility assistance Undertake domestic duties such as cleaning and maintaining a safe, tidy environment Provide emotional support and promote independence and wellbeing Work collaboratively with colleagues and other professionals to meet the needs of residents Carry out overnight shifts as part of a rota, ensuring the safety and comfort of residents throughout the night Record and report any changes in health or behaviour, following safeguarding and confidentiality procedures Requirements: Previous experience in a care setting is essential. A caring and patient nature, with a genuine desire to support others Ability to work nights, weekends, and bank holidays as required Good communication and teamwork skills An understanding of learning disabilities and a person-centred approach to care Have knowledge of or a willingness to learn about medical procedures, personal care, or therapeutic approaches. Have a proactive attitude and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team. Drive or be willing to use public transport.
