Salary: £38,000 - 48,000 per year Requirements: 3rd line IT infrastructure support experience Strong experience in business-as-usual IT operations and maintenance Proficiency in managing and troubleshooting Office 365 Experience with Microsoft Exchange/email server management Knowledge of data centre operations and management Ability to support Windows Server environments at an advanced level Understanding of virtualisation platforms such as VMware or Hyper-V Familiarity with storage technologies such as SAN, Nimble, or NetApp Experience with backup and recovery technologies Knowledge of patching and applying system updates Proficiency in Active Directory administration, including user accounts, permissions, and network resources Responsibilities: Support several thousand users by resolving 3rd line BAU support tickets escalated from 1st and 2nd line teams Resolve escalated incidents and tickets based on severity and priority using our technical specialism Support the critical servers, storage area network infrastructure, and cloud technologies Support the design, specification, installation, and configuration of new server, storage, network security, and cloud technologies Manage the security, optimisation, availability, storage, backup, retrieval, and safe keeping of our electronic data in line with IT security policy Support infrastructure upgrade projects Research new and upcoming technologies to assess their impact and potential benefits for existing and planned IT services Receive training in new technologies where required Technologies: Active Directory Cloud Hyper-V Support Network Office 365 Security VMware Windows DevOps More: We are a forward-thinking and innovative organisation in Staffordshire operating in a secure and robust sector, offering a role that makes a positive difference to people.
