We have an exciting opportunity to become an Apprentice within Solihull MBC’s Financial Operations Division. This will give the ambitious candidate the opportunity to gain a nationally recognised Association of Accounting Technician qualification whilst obtaining invaluable practical work experience in a busy and well regarded Council. The role includes working withing a dedicated finance team, where you will gain experience of the key responsibilities involved in a finance career at Solihull MBC. This will enable you to develop a broad foundation of knowledge that will support your studies and help you gain practical skills needed to process in your career. Past candidates through this programme have gone on to permanent roles within the authority, progressing through those roles to be supported in further study to become qualified accountants. For ambitious candidates, an apprenticeship in finance at Solihull MBC is the door to a successful career in finance. The salary offered is the National Living Wage (which is significantly higher than the Apprenticeship wage).
