ABOUT THE ROLE
In this role, you will have overall responsibility for managing the revenue strategy of the hotel, in collaboration with the wider commercial and senior leadership team. We are looking for someone who is analytical, forward-thinking and collaborative.
As Senior Revenue Manager, key aspects of your role include (but are not limited to):
1. Provides inventory management functional expertise and leadership to sales leaders.
2. Provides revenue management functional expertise and leadership to the hotel’s General Manager, leadership team and market sales leaders.
3. Understands and accurately represents the hotel’s sales needs.
4. Manages room authorizations, rates and restrictions.
5. Contributes to sales strategy, evaluates effectiveness and prepares historical and future analysis of revenue and profit opportunities
6. Prepares sales strategy critique.
7. Prepares budgets for transient, group and catering business.
8. Updates market knowledge and aligns strategies and approaches accordingly.
9. Explores opportunities that drive profit, create value for clients, and encourage innovation; challenging existing processes/systems/products to make improvements.
10. Prepares forecasts of revenue, profit, demand and occupancy for rooms and function space – weekly, monthly, quarterly, long range and budget.
11. Extracts and analyzes data in order to draw viable/actionable business conclusions.
12. Provides targeted and timely communication of results, achievements and challenges to stakeholders, including property ownership and above-property company leadership.
13. Work in collaboration with all heads of departments to ensure a successful hotel operation
14. Be a W brand ambassador, ensuring the brand’s voice is present in your interactions with guests and talent
