About the Role
Our client is looking to strengthen its quantity surveying department by bringing on board an Assistant Quantity Surveyor. This role is designed for someone eager to develop a long-term career in surveying. The successful candidate will work closely with a Senior Surveyor, gaining exposure to the full project lifecycle from pre-construction through to project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the financial control of various construction projects.
- Attend monthly CVR meetings.
- Provide commercial assistance on live and pre-construction projects.
- Conduct post-tender internal and external pricing analysis.
- Manage subcontract accounts and ensure compliance with contract conditions.
- Perform site visits and measure subcontract accounts.
Candidate Profile
- Educational Background: Possession of HNC or higher in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
- Commercial Acumen: Strong understanding of commercial principles.
- Willingness to Learn: Eager to understand instructions and learn from experienced colleagues.
- Communication Skills: Excellent numeracy and verbal communication skills.
- IT Proficiency: Competent in MS Excel and Word.
