Principal Geotechnical Engineer

We are seeking a talented and experienced Principal Geotechnical Engineer to join a diverse team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in geotechnical engineering, environmental consultancy, and contaminated land assessment. As a Principal Geotechnical Engineer, you’ll be given the opportunity to take on more responsibilities, playing a key role in leading and overseeing ground investigations, managing projects, and providing expert guidance to our team.
The Principal Geotechnical Engineer selected will be:
* Lead and manage geotechnical and environmental projects from conception to completion
* Oversee and conduct comprehensive ground investigations and assessments
* Provide technical expertise and guidance on geotechnical and contaminated land issues
* Mentor and lead a team of engineers and technicians
* Develop and maintain client relationships and lead business development initiatives
* Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety standards
* Collaborate with other departments and disciplines to deliver integrated solutions
To be considered for the Principal Geotechnical Engineer role you must have:
* A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or related field
* Considerable experience in geotechnical engineering and consultancy
* Strong project management skills and experience overseeing ground investigations
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Proven track record of business development and client management
* Live in or near to Edinburgh
* Full right to work in the UK
* Full UK Driving Licence
