Service & Breakdown Engineer Location: Fareham, Hampshire (local and regional travel) Type: Permanent, Full-Time Salary: £38,000 to £48,000 basic overtime call-out (DOE) About the Company Diamond Green Energy are a well-established and growing renewable and heating contractor, delivering high-quality installation, servicing, and maintenance solutions across the South. With a strong pipeline of work and continued growth in renewables, they are now looking to strengthen their service team with an experienced Service & Breakdown Engineer. The Role This is a field-based role focused on servicing, fault-finding, and breakdown across domestic and light commercial properties. You will be responsible for diagnosing issues, carrying out repairs, and ensuring systems are operating safely and efficiently. You will be working across a mix of traditional heating systems and renewable technologies, with strong support from the wider technical team. Key Responsibilities Service, diagnose, and repair gas heating and renewable systems Fault-find across boilers, heat pumps, and associated plant Attend reactive breakdowns and scheduled service visits Complete all relevant safety checks and compliance documentation Deliver a high level of customer service in occupied properties Maintain excellent standards of workmanship and professionalism Communicate effectively with internal teams regarding job progress and issues About You Proven experience as a Service & Breakdown Engineer within heating or renewables Strong diagnostic and fault-finding capability Confident working independently in a field-based role Professional, reliable, and customer-focused Full UK driving licence Desirable Experience Gas Safe registered Experience with heat pumps or renewable systems (ASHP preferred) Manufacturer training (e.g. Vaillant, Worcester Bosch, Mitsubishi, Daikin) What's on Offer Competitive basic salary with strong overtime and call-out earning potential Consistent, localised work across Hampshire and surrounding areas Opportunity to develop further within renewables and heat pump technology Stable, growing business with long-term career prospects
