Description We are currently recruiting within our A&H team in our Glasgow office for a Senior Claims Adjuster. Ideally suited to candidates with previous claims handling/adjusting experience, preferably within Accident & Health or similar lines of business. We will also consider experienced claims adjusters with experience gained in other business lines. The key purpose of this role is to manage a portfolio of complex claims for a specific line of business including coverage analysis, investigation and evaluation of policy liability & legal liability. Key Responsibilities • Negotiate settlement of claims to bring them to a successful conclusion. This may involve policy holders and other third parties • Self-management of own caseload to ensure prompt settlement of files • Act as part of a team to ensure both Team and individual goals are met • Act as a technical resource and provide guidance on the claims assessment process to junior colleagues • Mentoring, training and coaching junior colleagues where relevant Qualifications • ACII qualification advantageous but not essential • Previous end to end claim handling experience • Considerable market experience • Comprehensive understanding and working knowledge of specialist product line • Solid experience in dealing with clients • Ability to make own decisions and work on own initiative We offer in return! • Competitive salary & pension scheme. • 25 days annual leave plus ability to purchase 5 additional days • Private Medical cover, Employee Share Purchase Plan, Life Assurance. • Subsidised gym membership, Comprehensive Learning & development offerings. • 1 day annual Charitable leave, cycle to work scheme, Employee Assistance program.
