Job Title: Residential Children's Homes Manager
Eden Brown Synergy is seeking an experienced Residential Children's Homes Manager to join the Children's Home Services for Wokingham Borough Council.
Responsibilities:
1. Manage two residential homes effectively, ensuring a professional, children and young people-centred service in compliance with relevant regulations, legislation, codes of practice, and policies.
2. Lead and oversee the development of the service, including recruitment and team management.
3. Manage the annual budgets for both homes.
4. Work collaboratively with stakeholders to meet children's assessed needs in a family-like setting whenever appropriate.
5. Develop expertise in the field, acting as a resource for peers and senior colleagues.
6. Implement therapeutic practice models into home management.
7. Coordinate with Corporate Parenting teams to ensure safe and suitable placement options.
8. Support staff wellbeing and ensure safer recruitment practices.
Candidate Requirements:
* Level 5 Leadership and Management in Residential Childcare or equivalent qualification.
* At least 3 years managerial experience in a children's residential setting.
* Proven track record of delivering high-quality services, meeting standards, and implementing remedial actions when necessary.
