About St Mungo’s

The Oxford Street Outreach service is a rapid-response team that connects individuals sleeping rough with essential services, including healthcare, benefits, and housing.


Position Overview

As an Outreach Support Worker, you’ll engage directly with people sleeping rough, assess their needs, and deliver tailored support. You’ll collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to help clients access services and move toward stable housing and improved wellbeing.

This role requires flexibility, empathy, and resilience. You’ll work early morning shifts starting around 6am, standard office hours (9am–5pm), and occasional weekends, bank holidays, or late shifts to ensure support is available when it’s needed most.

* Location: Oxford, UK
* Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent
* Hours: 37.5 hours/week
* Closing Date: 10:00 AM on 22 September 2025
* Interview Dates: 1, 2, and 6 October 2025
* Work Arrangement: Field-based with flexible shifts


Key Responsibilities

* Provide rapid-response outreach to individuals sleeping rough
* Conduct needs assessments and develop person-centred support plans
* Connect clients with healthcare, benefits, and accommodation services
* Build effective relationships with clients and partner agencies
* Maintain accurate records and contribute to service improvement
* Promote dignity, independence, and recovery for all service users
