A fantastic contract opportunity has arisen to join a growing engineering business that supplies high‑value technologies worldwide. The site produces complex, precision products using modern manufacturing methods and continues to expand due to strong demand. You’ll join a collaborative, forward‑thinking team that values initiative and problem‑solving. In return, you’ll receive an hourly rate of circa £40 p/h (likely outside of IR35), flexible working hours, an early Friday finish, some working from home, and the opportunity for an extended contract.
Responsibilities
* Lead New Product Introduction projects, ensuring smooth transfer of new products into production.
* Create and maintain manufacturing drawings, BOMs, and process documentation, keeping ERP data accurate.
* Support feasibility and manufacturability reviews for new and existing components.
* Provide day‑to‑day engineering support to production, helping resolve process and material issues.
* Drive continuous improvement across manufacturing methods and documentation.
* Support root‑cause analysis, process validation, and engineering change integration.
Desirable Skills and Experience
* Proven experience as a Manufacturing Engineer, Design Engineer, NPI Engineer, or similar.
* Confident using 3D CAD software to interpret and manage engineering drawings.
* Solid understanding of mechanical principles and modern manufacturing processes.
* Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
* A proactive, hands‑on approach and strong communication skills.
