Role: Membership Engagement Officer, North and East Yorkshire
Location: Home-based, with travel across the Yorkshire region
Contract type: Permanent, Full Time
Hours: 35 hours per week
Salary: £29,170 to £30,790 per annum

About the role
The Membership Engagement Officer (MEO) is a key role which inspires and engages our membership to be active and fulfil their role and purpose while remaining compliant with the Legion’s Membership handbook and policies. Every day will be different as this role will see you responding to the needs of the individual county of responsibility. It is a challenging and exciting post where no two days will be the same.
You will provide organisational support, advice and information to our members, and work closely with County Committees, the membership central team staff and other departments. This is a varied role which covers a range of duties from connecting and building relationships with Branches to compliance oversight and responding to membership queries.
Responsibilities
* Provide support, advice and information to Royal British Legion members in Yorkshire
* Engage with Branches and County Committees; build and sustain strong membership relationships
* Ensure compliance with the Legion’s policies and Membership handbook
* Respond to membership queries and share best practices across the region
* Travel across North and East Yorkshire; attend monthly team meetings as required; occasional overnight stays
* Work evenings and weekends as required
Requirements
* Full UK driving licence
* Live within a reasonable distance of the designated area of responsibility
* Must not hold a Membership Engagement Officer role in their designated area
Location and travel
You will be contracted to your home address and will be required to work from home and on a mobile basis at other locations in North and East Yorkshire Region with occasional travel beyond this area.
