We are a very well-equipped, RCVS accredited group of two practices acting as a fiercely proactive force in a changing profession. Our drivers are high quality patient care, client education and career development. In a rapidly changing profession, we have been proactive in our support for progressing our veterinary nursing team with a structured, industry leading career progression framework. Maximising the skills and qualities of our veterinary nurses and support staff to ensure you can focus on your work and interests as much as possible. With the introduction of Lead RVNs, Schedule 3 theatre lists each week and nurse consulting work at the forefront of our recent progress.
We would love for you to consider joining our highly trained team of Vets, RVNs, PCAs and Client Care/Admins and help us continue to create a loving and caring service that goes above and beyond to keep our patients healthy and build for the future of the veterinary profession.
Day-to-Day Duties
* Nurse consults.
* Helping the vets in theatre with anaesthetics.
* Schedule 3 procedures.
* Working with equipment: X-ray, ultrasound, dental X-ray, laparoscopic surgery.
* Assisting with bigger surgeries, particularly soft tissue surgeries.
* Working within a team of about 5-6 nurses, 2 PCAs, 5 client care team, and usually 2-3 vets (rotating).
* No night duties.
* No out of hours.
* Stable inpatients are transferred to another site (no overnight care at this branch).
* Rota: five days a week usually; some prefer 4 long days, some prefer 5 short days; reasonably flexible.
* Role suitable for newly qualified nurses as there are experienced team members for support and mentoring.
