We are seeking a compassionate and committed Teaching Assistant to work part-time in a vibrant and inclusive primary school, offering targeted intervention support and SEN assistance within a KS1 setting. The Role: As a Key Stage 1 TA, your primary focus will be: • Delivering 1:1 and small group intervention sessions in core subjects such as phonics, reading, and numeracy. • Supporting children with mild to moderate SEN, ensuring they have the tools and attention needed to thrive. • Assisting the class teacher with lesson preparation and behaviour management. • Creating a calm, inclusive and supportive learning environment for all pupils. • Monitoring and tracking pupil progress and feeding back to the class teacher and SENCo. What We’re Looking For: • Experience working in a KS1 classroom (UK-based preferred). • Understanding of phonics programmes such as Read Write Inc. or Letters and Sounds. • Knowledge or experience supporting children with SEN (e.g., autism, speech and language needs, or social/emotional difficulties). • A caring, patient and proactive nature. • Strong communication and organisational skills. Relevant qualifications (Level 2/3 TA, CACHE or similar) are advantageous but not essential with the right experience.
