Technical Training & Applications Specialist (Solar & Storage)

The Role
This is a customer-facing technical role focused on training, problem-solving, and representing Sola X in the field.
You will lead installer training, support commissioning on-site, and act as a trusted technical presence across the UK and Ireland.
This is not a sales role. Your impact is measured by installer confidence, repeat installations, and long-term relationships.
What You’ll Be Doing
Training & Installer Development (Primary)
* Deliver structured training sessions (10–30 installers)
* Run sessions at:
* Sola X training centre (Atherstone – preferred base)
* Distributor locations
* Adapt HQ training into practical, UK-relevant guidance
Technical Support & Field Work
* Support installers with commissioning and fault finding
* Escalate and resolve issues with HQ when required
* Provide feedback on UK-specific product requirements
Installer & Partner Engagement
* Build long-term relationships with installers and distributors
* Confidently guide and challenge installers where needed
Events & Internal Support
* Build, run, and break down smaller exhibitions/trade events
* Contribute to video and social content when required
* Maintain a professional, organised training environment

What We’re Looking For
Core Requirements
* 2–3+ years in solar / renewables / electrical industry or strong electrical background with customer‑facing experience
* Confident communicator – able to lead a room
* Experience working directly with customers / installers
* Full UK driving licence
Highly Valued
* Solar + battery experience
* Training or presentation experience
