This is a vital role in providing an efficient and welcoming front-of-house service to pupils, parents, staff, and visitors. As a School Receptionist, you will manage the school’s front office, greeting visitors, handling calls and emails, and assisting with administrative tasks. Your role will be key to maintaining a positive, organised, and welcoming school environment. Key Responsibilities Serve as the first point of contact for parents, carers, staff, and visitors Answer telephone calls, emails, and other correspondence professionally Manage the school’s signing-in procedures for visitors, staff, and pupils Maintain accurate records and databases Assist with general administrative tasks, including filing, photocopying, and scheduling Support school events, meetings, and communications Maintain office supplies and ensure smooth office operations Ensure confidentiality, data protection, and safeguarding procedures are followed at all times The Ideal Candidate The successful candidate will: Have experience in a receptionist or administrative role, ideally in a school setting Be organised, approachable, and professional Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills Be confident using Microsoft Office and school management systems Be adaptable, proactive, and reliable Show a strong commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing Be able to work independently and as part of a team The school is located in Bexley, with excellent transport links and a supportive local community.
